Sarkeys Foundation Events
In its effort to fulfill the mission of improving the quality of life in Oklahoma, Sarkeys Foundation opens its doors to nonprofit agencies across the state and region. The saying “more than a checkbook” may very well become S.J. Sarkeys legacy. The Foundation focuses much of its efforts on providing high level professional development opportunities through seminars, conferences, retreats and programs. Trustee Terry West said “our educational programs may well be our legacy and will ultimately have a greater impact on the nonprofit community than direct grants.”

Institute for Nonprofit Leadership

This three-day intensive retreat is a by-invitation-only program for 21 Oklahoma nonprofits held at Quartz Mountain. Leadership teams consisting of the executive director and the board president attend the retreat, which focuses on building staff and board relationships, financial efficiency, and outcomes and other nonprofit best practices.
