Improving the quality of life in Oklahoma is what Sarkeys Foundation has been doing since 1962. Almost 50 years ago, Sarkeys J. Sarkeys had a vision help create a better state by establishing a foundation to award grants to nonprofits. He was committed to do good works for Oklahoma. The Sarkeys Foundation is a private, charitable foundation, incorporated under the laws of the State of Oklahoma and operated exclusively for providing support through gifts and grants to charitable, scientific, and educational institutions which are qualified under section 501(c)(3) and which are not private foundations .
The Sarkeys Foundation provides the nonprofit community an attractive event space, and it is the site of our educational programs. We believe the nonprofits in our state deserve a comfortable and appropriate space to conduct the important work they do each day. From board retreats to staff training to special functions, our facilities are a service to you.

The mission of Norman’s Thunderbird Clubhouse is to build a community that offers respect and opportunities to adults living with and recovering from mental illness. With a $250,000 grant from Sarkeys in April of 2006, they were able to construct a new building where their members could work each day to achieve social, financial, vocational, and independent living goals.
